Room & frame layout tour

A shared video showing the room and frame layout before images are added.

Ideas for use

  • Host small photo contests and display submitted works
  • Display and introduce BOOTH products and other items
  • A small gallery combining artwork and personal introductions

Gallery Room includes the frames. You do not need to buy both products for the frames.

A gallery world for artwork and product displays

Gallery Room includes a configured Gallery scene, seven wall display positions and a central rotating display stand. Frame colors, orientation, aspect ratio and link buttons can be changed in Unity. Example artwork and product images are not included. A separate rotating display stand Prefab is included.

The blue image and example.com shown in the settings screenshots are examples. Replace them with your own image and destination. The all-zero group ID is a placeholder and cannot be used as a real destination.

Tested environment

Unity 2022.3.22f1 / VRChat SDK - Worlds 3.10.5 / lilToon 2.3.4.

Import the scene

  1. Create a Worlds project using VRChat Creator Companion.
  2. Install lilToon, then import the product's unitypackage.
  3. Select a lilToon material. In its Inspector, enable Shader Setting → Build size optimization (for all materials) → Use lightmap.
  4. Open Assets/n72room/GalleryRoom/Gallery.unity.
  5. Check the room, frames, stand and Console before configuring your display.

The lightmap setting is shared by lilToon materials in the project.

Wall displays

In the Hierarchy, Displays → Frames contains the actual frames. Displays → Guides contains placement guides.

Displays, Frames and Guides hierarchy

Select Displays to assign frames to B1, L1–L3 and R1–R3. Drag a frame into the corresponding Frame field and click Place. A Prefab asset creates a new instance. An existing Hierarchy frame is moved with its current settings.

Replace a frame color

  1. Open the frame Prefab folder and choose Wood, Black or Silver.
  2. Select Displays and assign that Prefab to the desired position.
  3. Click Place to replace the previous frame.
  4. Click Open Frame Settings and configure the new frame's image and links.

Settings from the previous frame are not automatically copied to the new Prefab instance.

Adjust multiple displays

Select the positions to change, enable Adjust Frame Size and/or Align Lamp Height, adjust the sliders or number fields, then click Apply to Selected. The center value 0 means no offset from the default; it does not set the frame size or height to zero. Default scales are 1.6x for front B1 and 1.5x for side frames. The lamp alignment target is 2.30 m above the floor when Height Offset is 0.

Frame assignment and batch adjustment

Configure a frame

Select a frame under Displays → Frames, or click Open Frame Settings. Assign your image, choose Portrait or Landscape, adjust the aspect ratio and configure buttons and links.

Regular URL and group link settings; the group ID shown is a placeholder

Regular links display a URL that can be copied. Group links open the group page inside VRChat. They do not automatically open external websites or join groups. See the Poster Display guide for detailed frame settings.

Image brightness

If an image looks washed out or too bright, click Select Image Material on its frame. Disable emission or reduce HDR intensity in the dedicated material. The frame's Color / Intensity controls lamp, inner-frame and button emission separately. Open Detailed Settings → Emission on the selected image material. Disable Emission (「発光テクスチャ」 in the Japanese UI), or click its HDR color and lower Intensity.

Rotating display stand

Select RotatingDisplay in the Hierarchy.

  1. Assign a texture to Product Image.
  2. Enter Product Name / Text and confirm the field with Enter or by leaving it.
  3. Enable Enable Sign Link if required, then enter an http:// or https:// URL.
  4. Configure interaction range, click sound and volume.

Changes apply automatically. Disabling the sign link keeps the product image and name visible. The sign displays a URL that can be copied.

Place the separate Prefab

Drag Assets/n72room/GalleryRoom/Prefabs/RotatingDisplay.prefab into the Hierarchy. Adjust its root Transform and configure the placed instance as above. Check the new stand before deleting an old stand that it replaces. If the displayed image is too bright, adjust emission in the image material assigned to the image surface's Renderer.

Save and check

Save the scene and use the VRChat SDK to check image appearance, links, group pages and interaction range. If you change room geometry, lights or environment lighting, back up the scene and update the bake as needed.

An active EventSystem is needed for UI interactions. Check it if links do not respond, and avoid duplicate active EventSystems. For pink materials or missing text, check lilToon, TMP resources and Console errors.

Back up the project before applying updates.
